Reverend Tom Masterson, Pastor
Tom is the senior pastor of Hope Church. He holds a Bachelor's degree from The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee and a Master of Divinity from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis. A native Texan, he and his wife Kathy moved to San Antonio in the spring of 1999 to start Hope Church. Tom brings over 15 years experience in working with young churches and has a gift for bringing Biblical truths into real life.
Tom's hobbies are hunting, fly fishing and cigars! Tom and Kathy live in Stone Oak and have two daughters, Sydney and Anne.
Jason D. Wood, Associate Pastor
Jason has been on staff at Hope Church since May 2008. He holds a B.A. in Communication Studies and Classics from Samford University in Birmingham, AL and a Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, MA. During his tenure in Massachusetts, Jason met his lovely bride, Megan, while serving together on the worship team at Community Church of East Gloucester. Jason currently fulfills many pastoral and administrative duties and oversees the worship ministries of Hope Church, including leading music and preaching. While Jason would love to pretend he is diligent with all of his time, he is a remarkably effective slacker who loves to spend time writing and playing music, smoking pipes and cigars, fishing, watching movies, and reading.
