The Nursery

 At Hope Church, we love babies!  Our trained nursery caregivers provide a safe, fun and loving environment for your baby. All volunteers delight in holding, rocking and getting down on the mats to play with the most precious members of our congregation. Newborns up to two years old are cared for during the entire service in the nursery area, which is in the teacher's lounge upstairs.

Trained, screened volunteers provide the highest standard of safe, loving care during the nursery session.  The nursery will be open for your children from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.   If you have special needs for care outside of theses times, please let our nursery team know.

To keep your baby healthy in our care we:
Prevent sharing of toys that are put in babies mouths;
Disinfect beds, equipment and toys as needed during and after each service;
Sanitize linens in washer with baby-safe soap; and
Adhere to strict diaper changing and cleanliness policies.

General Guidelines:

• Notify caregivers verbally and in writing on the registration card or name tag if your baby has any allergies or nutritional requirements.  Please use an "Allergy Alert" sticker for allergies.
• Label all personal items. It is preferred that no personal toys be brought, but if your baby needs a special "lovey," you are welcome to bring it if it is clearly labeled, preferably with a "This Item Belongs To" sticker.
• Let the nursery volunteers know if you would like to be called from the service to feed your baby.  We are happy to bottle feed as instructed by you if you prefer.
• You will be notified if your baby cries longer than 10 minutes (or less, if instructed by you).  We will let you know when you are needed.
• No child over nursery age is allowed in the nursery unless supervised by a parent.
• Caregivers cannot give your baby any medication.
• We would appreciate it if you would supply your baby's diapers and wipes.  We do keep extras on hand should your child need any diapering item.
