Missionaries We Support
Since Hope Church started collecting offerings, we have dedicated 10 percent of our financial blessings to efforts that extend the Kingdom of God beyond our limits. The EPC missionaries we have supported over the longest span of time to date are the Branches. Paul and Elizabeth Branch, and their two children Linda (12/3/93) and Joseph (9/25/95) are serving in Argentina where the EPC has worked in cooperation with a group of historically Presbyterian churches over the past couple of decades.
Paul's ministry efforts include helping the Argentine Presbyterian Church plant and grow churches, as well as establish the St. Andrews Theological Institue (ITSA) for training future pastors and leaders for the Argentine church. The Branches ask that we pray for the establishment of ITSA, the health and vitality of the Argentine churches, and the grace to balance ministry and family in a foriegn culture.
If you would like to send a note one of the Branches, you can e-mail them at: paulbranch@arnet.com.ar
EPC missionary Greg Livingstone spoke at Hope Church in October 2005. During his message Greg challenged us as a church to begin supporting an EPC missionary to the Muslim World. As the direct result of that challenge, Bill and Janie are the most recent missionaries added to the ranks of those we support. (We will not use their last names or photos for security reasons.) They and their four children, William (8/12/94), Robert (3/9/97), Thomas (5/22/00) and Joseph (1/21/04) are serving in a Muslim Country (in Asia on the Caspian Sea--north of Iran, east of Turkey, Georgia and Armenia, south of Russia, which must be listed here in such a way that it cannot be "Googled"!) They are pioneering an effort to see an evangelical church planted there. Don't think that Bill and Janie are new at this, they served for about a decade on a team in Kazakhstan where they saw several churches planted in a matter of years!
Having just arrived in 2006, Bill and Janie are desirous of your prayers for things like transitioning their family into a new culture, God raising up other team members to join them, and seeing the groundwork begin to be laid for establishing the first church in what they hope to be a long line of new and growing churches.
