Worship Team
The mission of the worship team is to connect to God corporately and individually as we express our love for Him and experience His love for us.
Philosophy
At Hope Church we believe that worship is our primary calling both as Christians and as those created in God's image. Moreover, we believe that worship is not just something that we do on Sunday morning, but a lifestyle that encompasses every aspect of our lives. For worship comes in many forms, ranging from the reflective introspection of prayer to the outward action of service. Consequently, there is no area of our lives --career, relationships or recreation -- that is disconnected from our acts of worship.
On Sunday morning we are committed to Biblical teaching in worship as well as the creative expression of our praise. Above all else we want to glorify God and enjoy being in His presence, but we want to do so in a way that is accessible to all people regardless of their past church experience.
As a worship team we believe our role is to be "lead worshipers." We are to draw the congregation into an experience that we are sharing, instead of simply performing for an audience. We desire to lead God's people in their corporate worship of Him through music that glorifies God, speaks to our culture, and connects us to the church through the ages.
We want to give God our best by rehearsing, planning, and thinking through the specifics of each service, eliminating distractions by removing the hurdles of "bad" music, clumsy segues, and "loose" group dynamics. It is our prayer that this will allow the congregation to worship without being distracted and free them to enter into worship unencumbered.
Therefore, it is the mission of the worship ministry at Hope Church to encourage believers to live out the worship of God, not only through our Sunday services, but also in our daily lives.
